2010 Law Day Essay Contest

GRADES: York County Students—9th through 12th grades
TOPICS: Pick ONE topic—MAXIMUM LENGTH 500 WORDS
BASIS FOR JUDGING:
The essays will be reviewed for logic, originality, thoughtfulness and writing style, not for specific knowledge of the related law.
DUE DATE:
ESSAYS MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY, MARCH 26, 2009 AT 4:00 PM, at the York County Bar Center, 137 East Market Street, York, PA 17401.
COVER PAGE:
The cover page must include your NAME, GRADE, SCHOOL, SPONSORING TEACHER’S NAME and THE ESSAY TOPIC CHOSEN.
PRIZES:
First Place - $300 U.S. Savings Bond
Second Place - $200 U.S. Savings Bond
Third Place - $100 U.S. Savings Bond
All winners, along with their parents and sponsoring teachers will be invited to attend the York County Bar Foundation’s Law Day Luncheon on Friday, May 1, 2009, where they will receive their prizes and a personalized certificate of recognition.
