Law Day 2010, Monday May 3rd
Welcome to the York County, Pennsylvania Law Day web site.
This website was created by the York County Bar Foundation's Law Day Committee. The Law Day Committee plans the Law Day celebration each year. Law Day is 51 years old this year and York County has celebrated Law Day for over 30 years. The history of Law Day goes back to 1958, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave the first Law Day Proclamation. Read the Proclamation here and view the Law Day timeline here.
The York County Bar Association and Foundation both take great pride in our annual Law Day Celebration, which includes a luncheon on May 1st, featuring a keynote speaker, the announcement of the Liberty Bell Award recipient, and presentation of certificates and prizes to student winners of the annual Essay Contest.
The York County Bar Foundation wishes to thank the William Penn High School Saxophone Ensemble for playing at our Law Day Luncheon. The musicians in the ensembale are: Tyler Chronister, Jananne Ferrere, Rashida King, Veronica Stabley, and their Teacher Director: Kevin Crawmer.
